I started feeding my pit Nature's Recipe and he really didn't like it. His stool was runny and he wasn't putting on weight. I tried Science diet next and he loved it, but his coat became flat and wasn't shiny. Our trainer, while paid by Science Diet, doesn't recommend it AT ALL! He didn't have the energy that he needed. My next try for six months was Natural Balance, the Duck and Potato Recipe. He loved it and his coat never looked better. However we are now changing his diet because the duck became too rich for him and he ended up getting sick from it. He is now on Canidae, which is a great food for pits... not that any of the others were any worse, but he seems to love this one.

Well I have had great success with a food that has been popular with working dog guys from the midwest for years, NUTRISOURCE SUPER PERFORMANCE 32%protein 21%fat, NO CORN NO BY-PRODUCTS. I used to use Exceed but have had less issues and seen difference on the crew. In my area it is 40# bag for $36 retail and I can get it down to about $28 if I buy a pallet at a time. Check it out www.nutrisourcedogfood.com

100% RAW/BARF diet.
Nothing is cheaper and nothing is better. Only JUST AS GOOD.
Everyone's dogs are different, but dogs were MEANT to eat RAW. What did people do for the thousands of years before commercial dog food was produced?
Plus the amout of poo is MUCH MUCH LESS, EVEN LESS SMELLY and the poo is chalky instead of moist. No more worrying about landmines, it just crumbles when you step on it.

I strongly believe in raw diet!! it's all natural, cost is fair, dogs eat less, poop is good, and lots of mass, coats are healthy lookin and shiny, plus u know what they are getting fed. Raw Turkey burger, cottage cheese,chicken(w/or without bones),liver, beef tongue & etc.
