Ive found it strange that there is no diffenetive guide on the subject. Ive done countless hours of searching for histories of differnt bloodline and how they relate to pedigrees. Ive heard rumors of books or journals to be exact writter by famous dogmen ie william lightner. and journals and breeding records maitained by familys of breeders most prominatly old family reds by irish immigrant falimies that were jealsly a feircely guarded. To the extent that inthe late 1800's breeders considerd differnt bloodlines a completly differnt breed. That is in fact how the got the red color Do to extensive line and inbreed within families own set of dog because the red color was at one point a recessive trait. Through my own research old family reds and similar bloodline of game bred dogs have the most history related to the, at least more so than the newer bloodlines like razors edge and gottyline. just my thoughts discuss......

It is a fact that the Dog men of old guarded the true lineage of their dogs. Most either chose not to reveal the bloodlines at all or they lied and hung papers. The bottom line is they did not want any other Dog man gaining an edge from researching their own blood and using there breeding style or using there dogs or there proven off spring. However most of the old timers kept personal and secret accurate records of their dogs pedigree. If you really want a true and accurate knowledge and understanding of the breeds true history you need to make the accuaintence of some of the greatest Dog man alive or their desendants and close friends. I have had to the honor to do so. I took a swear of secrecy and will not reveal what I have learned out of respect and because I honor my word. But I can tell you this much; things are not what they appear to be in this game. If you only knew. To Clarify I am refering to the old school Game bred(match dogs) bloodlines of the pass. Hung papers is a sad but true fact in the history of this great breed. We will never know for sure the exact and accurate history of the APBT or the dogs in its ancestory. But some how, some way we have been handed down from previous generations the greatest breed of all time. It is our duty and honor to preserve and improve upon APBT's all while protecting our rights to own and breed these amazing dogs.

But im sure it was someone worth it because you wouldnt be talking about it if it wasnt. I love to learn from any of the old time dogmen...honestly i couldnt care less if i ever made a single dollar breeding dogs because thats not why im in this. this is all for love. i d love to learn anything from anyone worth learning someting from....... even other breeders because as long as you take everything ppl say with a grain of salt there is something to be learned from everyone. discuss.............

Hard mouths and ruff animals. what have you read online? i heard that the beaurdeax"s ran into some trouble in 2005 but necer heardor read what the outcome of the situation was. but that all takes a sidenote to the fact that Mr beaurdeax was and still is a respected dogman.

why are you guys all misunderstanding each other ? the question is how much do you know of the american bully and why have a negative vibe on us bully owners just because we are taking the spotlight from the adba and the akc registry confined pitbull, dont worry by the time Dave "the man" Wilson creator of the razors edge bloodline and bully guru is all situated it will be the best thing to ever happen to the new and improved bully's.
my top 10 bloodlines 1. RE 2. GOTTILINE/GREYLINE 3. WATCHDOG 4. GANGHIS KOHN 5. EDDINGTON 6. KNOWLWOODS 7. RUFFIANS 8. SIERRA 9. GAFF 10. BEAUDREAX

What was the "bully" invented for? Its obviously a mix breed and not a Apbt or even a AB. So that why i ask, what do you use this breed for?

What was the "bully" invented for? Its obviously a mix breed and not a Apbt or even a AB. So that why i ask, what do you use this breed for? well my opinion on this is maybe they made it for anyone who wants to own apbt..honestly not everyone can handle true apbt bec of gameness and deep drive so they "incorporated"other breeds to cut and strip those essential uniqueness that makes an apbt and created the worlds most biggest lapdog ;D ;D ;D for everyone to like!those talk of respect and leave us alone and nuts!you did not respect the breed when you obviously mixed it!!!(again such statements are my opinions to the subj.matter, you can read it or dont..this is not a statement of hate, but truth)
