"All of you Game bred traditional APBT lovers and defenders answer this questions. What is more important; Fighting BSL or attempting to ban American Bullies which is next to impossible and by far less important with respect to our breeds main issues?" who's attempting to ban AB?(i am sure not one of them)pls do not generalize i do not hate your liking to bully breed dogs, i express only the truth that bullies are mix with different breeds and still being called pits...thats somewhat unfair to my dogs whom i can give 100yrs worth of REAL pedigree coming from the old COLBY/TUDOR lines...again i am not angry, envy or even tryin to ban anything, you can call them american bullies but not pitbulls jmho

Y do all big bulldog owners cut the dogs ears?
I think it might help make the dogs head look bigger and might tighten the skin on the face helping the jaws standout.
does anyone know?

The first 2 are Colby dogs, 3rd(white w/eye patch) is 50% Gotti, the 4th (black) has gotti and old RE (Cairo, Paddington, Knuckles, the ole timers) and a lil' Greyline (Monster G) in her blood, and the last one is Gaff.

IMO, he doesn't have the extra bully (extra short, wide, freak shoulders) look that a lot of RE breeders strive for nowadays. At least compared to the current ones. Here is a few pics. of Cairo.

@ Truth Hurts - I see where you're coming from. A lot of these bullies look like an american or english bulldog in the face or are bred on the extremes (extreme head, shoulders, weight & height, shortness). But some of them from the same bloodlines don't look that way. And their parents (at least on the ped. papers) don't look that way. That makes me wonder if a lot of these dogs had hung papers.
When I see RE dogs, they usually are fawn, or brindle with a look similar to the old-time pitbull, medium frame, head, fit/slim, etc. and the other type short w/short legs unproportioned to the body and big heads -generalization.
