so im new to this site but been in the buisness for almost 14 years. and im just curious what you guys consider real pitbulls? i raise gotty greyline edge chinaman and colby dogs. im a reconized breeder with the ukc, adba, apbr and have many titles. but i was just curious and though itd be fun to see what kinda dogs you guys consider real pits this should be fun! and while your at it for the few of you that talk all this game dog stuff what do you think is the best game bred dogs? i have 100% chinaman bloodline dogs in my kennel so i no what a game bred dogg is but just want some of your opinions What other bloodlines dog you know of besides the Garner stuff? Have you heard of Jeep or Redboy? Those 2 alone or together make very good bloodlines. "what do you think is the best game bred dogs?" LOL (try checking THE ROM list) GAMENESS makes the dog,not the pedigree.... @calhoun jeep/redboy is good with long wind and ability to go but i prefer yellow/mayday with a little jeep/rascal, natural wind with ability/mouth is always a good choice fastlane is always better than training for long match

Have yopu ever seen 60 to 70 lbsders go @ it? as far as i've seen heavier gamedogs go.. a much slower phase, but ofcourse heavier pits more mouth, depends on how much training and how game your heavyweight is... try reading mayday's history, he takes on 5lb dogs heavier i like mine to be agile and be fast finishers...more lighter more action ;D

I know the history well and I know the scene fairly well. I grew up around Game dogs and Old school dog men. Not to take anything away from the smaller dogs but Ive seen some game breds @ 50 to 60lbs destroy the smaller dogs. These dogs were bred big but bred to still be fast and agile with good wind. Not to mention better bites power and strength and durability. The can take more. But they gotta be selectively bred right or they cant hang with the smaller pits. I was just wondering if you guys have seen a legit game dog that was a little bigger.

What bloodlines do you have? Are you ukc or adba or both. Do you have bullies?

I do not own any Bullys. All of my dogs are UKC, ADBA,SDR,APBR ,ABKC registerd but they are prominately from UKC Bloodlines. I have one game bred malewith show so dog blood in his Ped. He is a product of an outcross breeding so Its hard to say which bloodline he is from. UKC blood is usually not as tight as ADBA. My three pregnant doges are all UKC show dog/weight pull dogs. They come out Nevada kennels and Gaff through Able paws kennel. My smallest dog is 50lbs and my largest is 85lbs. Straight confirmation and all muscle.

" Ive seen some game breds @ 50 to 60lbs destroy the smaller dogs" i get your reply but i believe those were gametest not real matches...thats why"real match" are pitted with the same weight for fair game/match gametest are suppose to beat yours up to the fullest and to see how game he/she is but!!! there are "CATCH WEIGHT" matches where a underdog will try his luck beating the heavier dog (just imagine this... your dog was beatup by a smaller one.... LOL ;D ;D ;D, or....so what you win,you beatup a smaller dog that aint a match LOL ;D ;D ;D ;D)

Hey I see what you are saying and do not diagree. All am saying is that I have seen the bigger dogs be the better dogs period. When I sayDESTROY I mean Destroy A legit dog from legit bloodlines and legit breeders. A middle(50 to 70lbs) weight dog that is well balanced in his abilitys is the better match dog in my opinion. Not to take away from the traditional size match dogs. Im talking about pound for pound not just weight classes. Ive seen numerous dogs that were bigger get tore up by smaller dogs. But I will say this the best match dog I have ever seen in person was 60lbs. Now as far as your distaste for Gaff and UKC goes thats your opinin and you are entitled to it. But let me ask you this does every pit pull in this country have to be a Game bred match dog to be a valid Pit Bull. Some of us dont fight dogs. I like to use the APBT's talents for other uses does that make me less of a dog man?

By the way I do not fight dogs but like I said I grew up around it and I know a thing or two. Id say Gamness is not the number one trait we looked for in a dog. Its obviouslyly very imortant but its not the only variable in the equation of a good match dog. I dont care if a dog will go til he is in shock and then dies if he cant fight. You gotta have both. Id rather have a great over all fighter than a dead/deep game dog who was a mediocre match dog. I know most would disagree but thats my opinion.

I would say yes, because that's what they were before 1900's. Your words----Not to take away from the traditional size match dogs I mean no disrespect, but the dogs you have are what YOU call game and a good dog. There are place where you can take them and see for real, what you have........... most of us will never take are dogs to that level. So then i say we just have pitbulls. Now if you have anything outside the traditional bloodlines, then what do you have?.......a watered down Pitbull! I've seen some good one's but they cant breed what they are....so then what do you have and why are you breeding..... if you arent even close the TRADITIONAL Pitbull.
I think the money is in the big water down Pitbull's, that's why there are so many being bred and color and head size is usually what they talk about the whole time. Head size and color is not what you should be looking for when buying a Pitbull. The breeder is very improtant and the parents health is another as well as what has he the breeder produce in past few yrs. Not where he bought his 2 dogs from. You see this a lot in ukc world, 2 dogs and they think they're a breeder.
If you think for a moment that you have game breed dogs and they aren't from the old bloodlines, ask yourself what makes them game. You saying it or have they shown you it.

AMEN bloodbrother orourkebloodlines, sorry if we sound frank but YOU say you grown up with gamebreds and know their stuff...why not get a pit with GAMEbred pedigree?you want to talk with us about gameness but your pit came from SHOWline pedigree... i know its everybody 's own opinion and perspective on what they what but if you talk about what you SEEM to know and not WALK the WALK,well then... thats the difference bet you and our reason why we own the breed
